Adopt-A-Family Applications End November 16th

10/27/2017— Community Care Alliance is holding application sessions for the 2017 Adopt-A-Family holiday program in Woonsocket. The sessions held at St. James Episcopal Church, 24 Hamlet Avenue in Woonsocket Mondays from 10am-12pm; Wednesdays from 4:30-7pm; and Thursdays from 1-3pm. The application period for the Adopt-A-Family program ends November 16th.  Late applications cannot be accepted.

Low-income families with children born after December 26, 2004 are invited to apply.  Applications are not accepted from families living outside of Woonsocket.  Applicants must bring the following with them when they apply:  Picture ID, SNAP letter (food stamps), proof of all household income, birth certificates for all members of the household, current lease or rent receipt and utility bill, social security cards for all members of the household, documentation of any existing crisis illustrating why the family is in particular need at this time, documentation of enrollment in job training, ESL, GED, or advanced education programs, clothing sizes for children born after December 26, 2004, and two local phone numbers through which they can be reached. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Individuals are encouraged to pick up applications and complete them if possible before attending the sessions. Copies of applications are available at the following Community Care Alliance office locations: 245 Main Street and 55 Main Street. Recipients of Adopt-A-Family and other holiday programs are selected according to need.
