Residential Mental Health Services
Intensive mental health psychiatric rehabilitation residences are available for adults who need 24-hour supervision and support, but who do not require hospital level of care.
Annie Jones, Team Leader at Chicoine House, makes this house a home.
Our primary goal is to assist residents in reaching their goals for living, learning and working in the community as independently as possible. We support this by providing optimal levels of supervision and assistance for each resident.
- Individual apartments and shared living homes
- On-site and off-site rehabilitation and social activities
- HUD subsidized rents
- Safe and secure
- All residences are located in northern Rhode Island
The homes are suitable for people with combined mental health and substance abuse issues, older and medically fragile clients with mental illness, young disabled adults with difficulties living alone, and clients discharged from the Eleanor Slater Hospital.
These residences are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by clinical case managers and residential treatment workers that are part of a multi-disciplinary team that consists of a psychiatrist, psychiatric RN, consulting clinical psychologist, master's level clinicians and vocational/rehabilitation specialists.
Applicants must be receiving SSI and Medicaid due to a psychiatric disability and be able to benefit from a 24/7 residential treatment program.
