Open During Covid19 Crisis

Behavioral health is essential health. Like other healthcare providers, Community Care Alliance will remain open for services while we work towards management of this COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, we are acutely aware of the safety of our clients and staff and are following advisory guidelines set forth by the CDC and the Rhode Island Department of Health. 

These are the protocols we have set in place.

Open Access Intake Services and program waiting rooms will implement recommended screenings to determine health and exposure risks for individuals seeking services. Additionally, waiting rooms will follow social spacing policies with 6 foot distances between individuals along with frequent sanitizing. 

Outpatient Counseling  clinicians are working  individually with clients to determine most appropriate way to delivery services—face-to-face or using some form of tele-mental health. Intakes can be scheduled in office using video or face-to-face when social distancing and use of masks can be assured.   

Random urine drug screens are now being offered to DUI clients and will soon be expanded to those involved with DCYF or probation & parole.

The Family Support Center is open at 245 Main Street, Woonsocket. Our staff are ready to provide guidance and resources for individuals and families having difficulty obtaining food, or experiencing other basic needs emergencies. We are particularly concerned for vulnerable people during this time of societal stress.

The Serenity Center is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM by appointment only.  Masks must be worn to enter . There is a maximum of 5 people to be in Serenity at one time.  Weekly recovery meeting via Zoom are available Wednesdays at noon.

Visitors to our Residential Programs and the Woonsocket Shelter will be restricted. 

DCYF-involved families may resume Face to Face Family Time by scheduled appointment either at the home of a foster parent (preferably in the yard) or outside at the Northern RI Visitation Center at Orchard Street, Woonsocket, or at our Therapeutic Foster Care office at Smith Street, Providence.  If inclement weather requires an indoor visit, RIDOH guideline will be followed.

Agape Woonsocket and Alive Peer Support Programs, the Wellness & Recovery Center are closed until gathering restrictions are lifted. Agape Providence is offering food pantry services every week, and ongoing face-to-face for clients with urgent medical or other needs.

The Employment & Training programs are providing remote distance learning. GED and ESL Classes are being offered through distance learning.

The Harbour Youth Center is keeping in touch with members and providing virtual learning activities, including daily drop-ins via Zoom. Application requests for membership are being accepted.

Resour​ces

We recognize that there are people who might experience anxiety more acutely during this time. Be supportive of one another, take responsibility for your own hand washing and social distancing; look out for your neighbors who might be struggling with their isolation and think creatively about how you can reach out to them. It will take a concerted effort to turn our changed reality back to normal.
