Community Care Kitchen is Putting Food on the Table
Masks are the new attire at our Community Care Kitchen where meals are prepared for our four residential sites. Thanks to RI Food Bank, this team is also packaging items for our programs and client families.
Up until recently they were providing almost 675 meals a week to the Northern RI Boys and Girls Clubs until they had to close due to the coronavirus.
Now they are serving 3 meals a day, 7 days a week to 32 residents at Jellison House and Wilson House. They are also providing dinners for Chicoine House and Singleton 23 residents.
Lori Dumas, Senior Food Specialist, says, "I have the best kitchen staff and delivery driver anyone could ask for. I couldn't do it without them."
