Fishing with EI Families
Early Intervention held its 3rd annual family fishing days at Cass Park in Woonsocket. Several of our Early Intervention families and their little ones enjoyed learning how to fish with EI staff coaching parents, and providing equipment. Our little ones practiced wearing masks for a bit, washing hands, touching worms and fish, and getting outside for fresh air and fun.
The families even got to keep an old time fishing pole, made from a stick, with hook, bobbin and sinkers attached. It is so wonderful to see kids outside, having fun and families learning new activities they can do together, safely.
"It has been such a joy for me to see so many children's progress. I am retiring after working with special kids in Northern Rhode Island as an Occupational Therapist for the past 44 years. I will miss our little ones, but am so proud of all that our Early Intervention families have accomplished." —Sue Guilmain, Early Intervention Occupational Therapist
