Warming Center Opens During Frigid Weekend

In collaboration with St. James Episcopal Church where a warming center has been temporarily set up, Community Care Alliance (CCA) staff will be available to assist anyone staying there. With temperatures expected to be below zero this weekend, the church at 24 Hamlet Ave. in Woonsocket will open on Thursday, February 2 for the night starting at 5:00. 

They will reopen on Friday evening at 5:00 and people will be able to stay throughout the weekend until Sunday at 10:00 AM. For those left out in the cold on Friday during the day, the CCA Safe Haven program at 245 Main Street, Woonsocket, will be open until 5:00 where safety and warmth will be available.
