The Harbour Youth Center

The Harbour Logo The Harbour Youth Center is a safe, supportive environment for youth and young adults, ages 12 – 25. Age eligible programming, trainings, supports and internships for employment help youth center participants gain confidence and self-sufficiency. Services include individualized case management, afterschool programs, work-readiness workshops and more.

After School Drop-In

After school, drop-in hours serve school aged youth from 12 to 18 years old. We offer different programs and groups each afternoon that focus on creativity, personal development, and community building. On Wednesdays our No Limits program hosts late night activities from 5pm to 6:30pm.

No Limits Program

The No Limits Program serves youth and young adults ages 12 to 25 with the purpose of preventing substance use, promoting healthy habits, and recovery services. The No Limits program consists of direct case management, late night programming every Wednesday, clinical groups, monthly family events, and the youth advocacy board.

  • Workforce Development

    Life Skills Program

    The Youth Development Services (YDS) Program provides youth ages 16 to 20 life skills support. Services include development assessments, financial literacy education, matched savings accounts, mentor connections, career/work readiness services, youth advisory group participation, and more.

    P.A.I.D

    The Pathways to Adulting, Independence, and Dignity program provides clients ages 18 to 24 with 5 weeks of classroom-based work readiness training, individualized career & skill assessments, assistance with job searching & applications, and a work-based learning opportunity.

    W.I.O.A

    The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act is a federal program created to support motivated people facing barriers to education and/or employment. Youth W.I.O.A serves people aged 14-24. The W.I.O.A program provides individualized case management. W.I.O.A clients will also have access to paid/unpaid work experience, leadership development, work readiness, financial literacy, counseling, and supportive services funding. Additionally, participants are eligible to receive incentives to reach certain milestones, such as graduation.

    Summer Jobs

    The Summer Jobs Program provides applicants ages 14-24 with an entry level 5 week summer job. Participants are required to fill out a HYC application. Only Rhode Island residents are eligible for this employment opportunity.

    Mental Health & Wellness

    At the Harbour Youth Center, we offer a range of trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical services to our clients and their families. We prioritize person-centered care by exploring goals and supporting wellness. Mental Health and Wellness services may be provided in office or community-based settings. Services may include the following options:
