While structured as a career development center, this program, “The Harbour” was a name chosen by kids yearning for a place to belong in a safe, supportive environment.

Meeting with peers is a great way to gain emotional well-being by learning from one another. In Rhode Island, Circle of Parents is one solution for parents to share ideas and support one another. Groups are available in Woonsocket.

Legacy of a Peer Recovery Champion

From the very beginning, Laura, peer recovery champion, was uniquely able to integrate her love of nature and animals into her career. At the group home, she engaged residents in a number of non-traditional psychosocial rehabilitation activities such as gardening and volunteering to walk dogs at a shelter in the community.
