RI Works Partnership Program

The RI Works Partnership Program provides supportive, educational, vocational training and work-readiness resources for families receiving cash benefits.

Eligibility

A parent or guardian with a child under the age of 18 living in their home, and meeting income-eligible guidelines is eligible to receive RI Works.

Referrals

The Department of Human Services determines eligibility and makes referrals to participating agencies, such as Community Care Alliance.

Program Requirements

An assigned case manager helps the parent develop a plan and provides supports toward meeting these goals. Consistent contact is essential to staying in the program, as the case manager provides weekly progress reports to DHS, which ensures that cash assistance is maintained.

RIWorks Goals

Our goal is to assist families with achieving academic and financial success. Service coordination is a high priority for our participants. The case manager will coordinate with other providers the family may have engaged to ensure the best practice is taking place for the family.

Teen & Family Development

Pregnant and parenting teens who receive cash assistance are referred to our Teen & Family Development team. We assist young families with daily living, completing high school or GED and further educational goals, parenting and child development resources, and employment readiness. A pregnant or parenting teen must be in either high school or a GED program to receive cash assistance.
